While it might not appear so, the family is in their church clothes – wearing the standard yellow t-shirts from the Mormon Helping Hands program.
According to Debbie, these will be their standard church clothes for a while, as they will spend their Sundays helping Houston residents clean up after the record-breaking flooding.
Many of the full-time missionaries are spending their time doing “muck” work. The Mission President of the Texas Houston South Mission posted a video as he walked through one home, showing the devastation of the flooding, but also the process of gutting the homes that the missionaries are performing.
